If you have a little more money to splurge and are looking for an entry-level 32-inch LCD television with power-packed features, check out the 32 LCD HDTV Samsung LN32A450. Its solid picture quality puts this model at the head of the pack despite its relatively high price tag. There are some quirks that need to be tweaked but these are far outweighed by the features and user-friendly controls that set the 32 LCD HDTV Samsung LN32A450 apart from other LCD televisions in its class.
The resolution in the 32 LCD HDTV Samsung LN32A450 is just right at 1,366 x 768. It has a number of picture modes and presets that can customize your viewing experience. While all other user menus are easy to navigate, the picture controls can be quite confusing since the two sets of menus open with separate buttons on the remote control. This slight quirk can be tolerable since you do not really have to keep on adjusting the settings anyway. This model has color temperature presets that you can choose from as well as color fine-tuning facilities that allow you to make adjustments in the noise reduction, gamma control, and contrast control.
The back panel of this Samsung LCD television is complete with an array of slots for most audio-visual equipment. It has two HDMI inputs, two component-video inputs, along with the standard AV input, an RF input for cable and antenna, and a standard VGA-style RGB input. Additional connectivity is provided in the recessed area along the left side of the unit which contains another HDMI input, an AV input, a headphone jack and a USB port.
