Buying the expensive doesn't necessarily mean being wasteful. The Sony KLV-40ZX1M flat screen HDTV is one of the best HDTVs out in the market, but it also comes with a hefty target. Now we ask, is the price worth it?

And well this HDTV looks extra fine, too. The Sony KLV-40ZX1M HDTV is stunningly thin, which measures only about 9.9 mm thick and weighs a mere 33.1 pounds. IT is in fact the thinnest LCD HDTVs out in the market. Ultra thin with sleek, with black textured metal and minimalist design, this Sony HDTV is a winner in every room it appears.

In addition to its extra thinness, the Sony HDTV is also a victor in the energy efficiency facet. It is an Energy Star 3.0 compliant. This will come as a surprise since the The Sony KLV-40ZX1M HDTV offers a Vivid mode plus and edge-lit LED which is normally very power hungry.

All in all, image quality and its color accuracy are of premium quality. Not to mention it can manage to hide cords well, too. A sure winner, we give this HDTV five stars.
